Former Trump hand Jason Miller said on CNN, “He’s got to get out there and support Republicans, but the problem with Rick Saccone, you can’t wait until the 11th hour to become a trump. If you want to get the independents, you need to get out there and do it. Voters can figure out who is real and who is fake. The president got out there and supported him.”
Republicans are throwing Saccone under the bus and trying to distance the president from the candidate that he was just campaigning for a few days ago. If Republicans were confident in winning this election, they wouldn’t be trashing their candidate while the votes are being counted.
The GOP is acting like Rick Saccone is going to lose, and they are in denial about the real reason why they may lose a House seat in a district that Trump carried by 20 in 2016.
