Lawyers Turn Down Trump Because They Don’t Want The Bad Publicity

Lawyers are refusing to take Trump on as a client because they don’t need the bad publicity that comes with working for the unpopular president.

Jonathan Swan of Axios said on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, “He’s still soliciting — he’s talking to people even as recently as the last couple of days to try and get suggestions of who he should bring in. But there are three reasons why it is not really working out. One is he has a bad reputation as a client. He’s reluctant to pay bills. The second is he’s impetuous. He tweets. And the third is he doesn’t take advice. So he’s not exactly the most appealing client in the world for a lot of these lawyers and his contention that they’re all seeking fame, a lot of these white shoe firms in Washington don’t need the publicity and see it as potentially negative publicity for representing the president.”

Lawyers have been turning down Trump because he is deadbeat who doesn’t pay his bills who also doesn’t listen to his legal representation, but it is also the issue of Trump being completely toxic that is keeping some law firms away. Legal work in the US doesn’t get much higher profile than representing the president. If this were a typical situation with a normal person in office, Trump would already have top-notch representation, and let’s face it, going up against Robert Mueller means that Trump needs the best lawyer that he can get.

Trump has done so much damage to himself in the few years that he has been in politics that no one wants to be associated with him as his legal representation. Trump is the reason why he is about to get steamrolled by Robert Mueller and the Special Council investigation.

It ironic that the candidate who promised to hire the best people can’t even find a decent attorney to fight to keep him in office.
