Just yesterday, Laura Ingraham felt the need to add her voice to the conservative chorus that’s been bashing Parkland shooting survivors (and David Hogg specifically). It did not go quite the way she planned. Unless her plan was to lose face and advertisers. In that case, job well done, Laura Ingraham!
Turns out, when a conservative, ex-radio host/current-Fox News personality tweets this:
David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.) https://t.co/wflA4hWHXY

David Hogg responds to such a crass, unprovoked attack by a “grown-up” by first calmly asking his over 600,000 Twitter followers who Ingrahams’s top advertisers are, and then posting a list:

And his supporters? They go to the phones and interwebs and flood those advertisers with calls for withdrawing their ads from the hate-monger’s show.
As of this writing, Nutrish and TripAdvisor have pulled (or are pulling) their advertising.
Not-so-coincidentally, Ingraham tweeted this just this morning:
Any student should be proud of a 4.2 GPA —incl. @DavidHogg111. On reflection, in the spirit of Holy Week, I apologize for any upset or hurt my tweet caused him or any of the brave victims of Parkland. For the record, I believe my show was the first to feature David…(1/2)

Let Laura’s advertiser bloodletting be a lesson to all who fail to take these Parkland students -and their generation- seriously. Do so at your own peril! These teenagers aren’t just smart and articulate. They’re more than more mature than the adults who let them down and denigrate them. They’re driven and savvy and more than up to the task of making real change.
Don’t believe it? Ask the TV personality who thought criticizing a high school senior’s GPA was a good idea.
