Hulu Dumps Laura Ingraham As David Hogg Boycott Spreads Like Wildfire

Hulu has pulled their ads from Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show as there appears to be no end in sight to the boycott of Ingraham’s advertisers that was inspired by her attack on Parkland survivor David Hogg.

Hulu tweeted:

Ingraham’s advertisers are dropping like flies as companies like Nestle, Wayfair, and Expedia have already dumped the struggling Fox News host. Ingraham tried the sorry/not sorry apology to save her advertisers, but Hogg didn’t buy it, and Fox News is watching advertising money flee from its 10 PM ET time slot.

The history of these boycotts has shown that it is the one way to hit right-wing media hosts where it hurts. Rush Limbaugh has never been the same after his Sandra Fluke comments inspired a massive boycott. Glenn Beck lost his Fox News after he tried to weather a boycott that cost Fox News millions upon millions of dollars.

These boycotts never end well for the right-wing media host. Laura Ingraham has been losing in the ratings race to Lawrence O’Donnell on a consistent basis since she came on the air. The pattern has been that the host will see a jump in their ratings initially during the boycott that ebbs quickly while the advertisers don’t come back.

The David Hogg boycott is spreading, and may not stop until Laura Ingraham is out at Fox News.
