Rachel Maddow Drops A Bombshell: Cohen Raid Is About Trump’s Papers

Rachel Maddow dropped a bombshell on her MSNBC program as she revealed that the Michael Cohen raid was about Donald Trump’s papers.

Maddow said:

Cohen’s lawyer says this is not about my client’s personal life. Can we put the last part of the transcript back up? He says there are five paragraphs in attachment A that deal with seeking the papers of the President of the United States that are in possession of my client. This case is that. Now, we the public don’t know what attachment a is. We haven’t yet seen attachment a. We think it’s probably either the search warrant that a judge signed to seize stuff for Michael Cohen or maybe in support of that search warrant.

But in any case, I mean presume why someday we’ll see attachment a. This lawyer is saying what the FBI was after when they searched his office, hotel room, all of it, what they were after was information pertaining directly and individually to the president as spelled out in a five paragraph long description of what the FBI was going to seize. So this case is not just oh, trouble for the president’s lawyer who you have seen on TV. This is about the president directly, which may be why the people directly involved in this case appear to be a little rattled as this thing continued to unfold. But as I said, this is unfolding in New York where prosecutors have gotten very very good because they have had lots and lots of experience nailing people in public corruption cases.

Rachel Maddow explained why the White House is freaking out

This explains why the White House is so worried about the Cohen raid, and why White House insiders think the Cohen case is a bigger immediate threat to Trump than the Mueller investigation. The Cohen raid wasn’t just about the illegal activity of Michael Cohen, but also the illegal activity of Donald Trump, and the potential crimes that Cohen committed for Trump. The White House should be afraid.

The federal prosecutors have finally cracked Trump’s inner circle and they may have access to the president’s criminal activities. We don’t know what federal investigators have, but it enough to put the White House on pins and needles.

Attachment A is the key, and it is just a matter of time until we find what Trump papers federal prosecutors have their hands on.
