Jared and Ivanka Go Into Hiding From Mueller And the Press

Ivana Trump is famous for being the president’s first wife and for giving him the nickname “The Donald.”  It also seems, based on a recent interview, that she may be in agreement with Robert Mueller on something important.  She thinks her daughter Ivanka should leave Washington and get out of politics.

“I would prefer if she would move back to New York,” Ivana said, speaking about her daughter. “Politics is a very dirty business.  If she went back to running her fashion business she would be her own boss.”

(In the same interview Ivana said that she thinks The Donald should not run for re-election in 2020 but should go play golf instead.  Also, she said she would not want to be First Lady, and she feels sorry for Melania.)

In the meantime, MSNBC reported yesterday that “White House senior advisors Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner have gone “underground” amidst special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigations.”

“New court filings from Mueller’s office confirmed investigators were in fact searching for documents related to the now-infamous Trump Tower meeting, among other things,” MSNBC anchor Nicole Wallace said.

“Some of the people that were involved are Donald Trump, Jr., the president’s son; Jared Kushner; Paul Manafort, who has been charged with dozens of charges at this point, and five other people connected to Russian lobbyists, many with ties to the Kremlin. Bob Mueller has shown no reluctance to charge people close to the president, nor has he shown any reluctance to charge people close to the Kremlin,” Wallace said.

“Obviously, Jared Kushner’s interactions with foreign leaders under heavy scrutiny by the Mueller probe. We don’t know if it is by other jurisdictions as well. The word I hear is that the kids have gone underground,” she reported.

An AP reporter on the show, was able to provide additional information.

“Jared and Ivanka, Jared in particular, have kept a lower profile in recent months, particularly since Kushner had his security clearance downgraded,” Jonathan Lemire said. “There remains concern in the White House, outside among Trump allies, from all of our reporting, about what Kushner’s exposure could be here.”

Lemire said the Bob Mueller is “very interested” in the meetings that Kushner had with foreign leaders and business moguls who appear to have helped him obtain financing for his real estate business, including his property at 666 5th Ave in Manhattan.

“That’s certainly something that Bob Mueller would pay attention to,” Lemire said.

Perhaps it is time that Ivanka listens to her mother’s advice and gets out of Washington before her husband goes to jail.  Of course, it may already be too late for that.  And it’s doubtful if Jared going into hiding is going to deter Mueller in his attempts to bring the president’s crooked son-in-law to justice.
