Republicans Are So Terrified Of The Blue Wave That They Won’t Send Trump To Swing States

Republicans are running scared of the blue wave to such a degree that they are refusing to send Trump any swing districts or states ahead of the midterm election.

The New York Times reported:

President Trump is planning to focus his midterm campaigning this summer on red states with competitive Senate races where he has a deep reservoir of support and can bring a message devised to stoke partisan outrage. The strategy is intended to take advantage of his star power among core Republican supporters while minimizing his exposure in states with competitive congressional races where his polarizing presence could help motivate Democrats as well as independents and moderate Republicans.

In the coming weeks, the strategy will also take Mr. Trump to North Dakota, Montana, Missouri, Indiana and West Virginia — all deeply red states he won handily in 2016 with endangered Democratic senators.

The Blue Wave is so strong that Republicans are keeping Trump away

Republicans are afraid that the combination of Trump’s toxicity and Democratic motivation will get Republicans swept out of office in swing states and districts. The map of states that Trump is going to is already difficult, even though they are red states. Claire McCaskill in Missouri, Jon Tester in Montana, and Joe Manchin in West Virginia all begin their reelection campaigns in a good position. It may also be difficult for Republicans to win in North Dakota. Of the states that Trump is visiting only Indiana looks endangered for Democrats at this time.

The strategy that Republicans are employing is a sure sign that they believe in the blue wave too.
