Reporters Bust Trump Lying About Reading A Letter From Kim Jong-un

Trump taunted the press about the contents of a letter from Kim Jong-un, but when pushed on the contents of the letter, Trump admitted that he hadn’t read it.

Video:

First, Trump taunted the reporters, “Don’t forget, this was a meeting where a letter was given to me by Kim Jong-un, and that letter was very nice letter. Oh, would you like to see what was in that letter, would you like — how much? How much? How much?”

When the press asked what was in the letter, Trump admitted, “No, I didn’t. I haven’t seen the letter yet. I purposely didn’t open the letter. I haven’t opened it. I didn’t open it in front of the director. I said, would you want me to open it? He said you can read it later. I may be in for a big surprise, folks.”

Trump lies about anything and everything

The lesson is that there is nothing too small for Trump to lie about, so when he comes out of the summit and promises that something has been agreed to, don’t believe him. The press shouldn’t believe him, because time and again, Trump demonstrates that he will lie about anything. Trump didn’t have to mention the letter at all. He could have said that he was waiting for a private moment to read the letter.

Instead, he chose to lie, and look like an idiot when he got caught.

Only a sucker would take anything Trump says at face value. If he lies about reading a letter, Trump will lie about the outcome of the summit with North Korea.
