Trump’s Stupid Fixer Brings Rape Charges Back in the Public Eye

Michael Cohen must be the worst “fixer” in the world. He is supposed to fix Donald Trump’s legal and political problems but instead through his own stupid actions he has brought to the forefront some old rape charges against Trump that he thought had been buried years ago.

Because Cohen was dumb enough to make an audiotape of a threatening phone call to a reporter he has now brought revived public scrutiny to one of the worst legal charges ever made against Donald Trump.

Yesterday, National Public Radio (NPR) published an audio file which is seven minutes long and contains a telephone conversation between Cohen and then-Daily Beast reporter Tim Mak.

In the NPR story Mak clarifies that he had contacted former Trump aide Hope Hicks in 2015 to get her reaction to published claims made by Trump’s first wife, Ivana Trump, in a 1993 deposition during divorce proceedings that her husband had once raped her.

After contacting Hicks, Mak heard back from Cohen, who said he was providing legal representation to Trump, who was at that time a candidate for president.  Cohen said to Mak that as a legal matter,  “by definition you can’t rape your spouse.” This is incorrect as spousal rape is illegal in all 50 states.

In the conversation Cohen makes brutish and outrageous threats against the reporter.  “What I’m going to do to you is going to be f*cking disgusting,” Cohen said to Mak.

The audio tape of the phone call offers a candid view of the way Cohen threatened and intimidated people to get them to back off Trump. Sometimes this has worked and sometimes it hasn’t.  Trump did become president, so it might be argued that Cohen’s efforts were effective.

But the chickens may be coming home to roost, as Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti once said about Trump and Cohen.  Both Avenatti and Daniels have said that Cohen used similar threatening tactics to intimidate the former porn star so she would sign the nondisclosure agreement against her wlil.

Now, with this latest NPR article and audio tape it has become clear that Cohen has not “fixed” every problem of the president and he may have made things exponentially worse by making tapes of himself, and possibly the president.

There are MANY potential legal charges currently facing Donald Trump. Depending on how things turn out with Robert Mueller, Trump may potentially be charged with: treason, conspiracy against the United States, bank fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

So let’s not forget — because we shouldn’t forget this — that Donald Trump is probably guilty of many sexual crimes as well.  He has been accused by 20 different women of some type of sexual misconduct, such as sexual harassment, sexual assault, or rape.  He is a dangerous criminal who should not be allowed to be in the same room alone with women.  He also should not be allowed to be in charge of the government of the most powerful country in the world.
