The Trump family is whining about how hard Donald Trump’s life became after he decided to run for president, without admitting that they caused their own problems through criminal activity.
Here is the key paragraph from a profile of Eric and Lara Trump in Westchester Magazine:
To this, Lara confesses, there are times when some of her family members “pine for the old days” (though Lara did leave her associate producer job at TV’s Inside Edition to join the president’s 2020 re-election campaign). Eric, meanwhile, is quick to say that “there would be far fewer headaches if it weren’t for politics,” but it’s all worth it “when you know you’re in it for the right reasons,” he adds, adopting a more measured conversational tone. “My father’s life became exponentially worse the minute he decided to run for president. He didn’t need to do this, but he was immensely frustrated with where the country was going.”
No one made Trump run for president or conspire with Russia
Donald Trump didn’t run for president out of a sense of civic responsibility. Trump ran because he was using the campaign to build up his brand and make more money. After he won the election, Trump has had no governing agenda. His focus has been on using the presidency to enrich himself and his family. No one made Donald Trump run for president. There wasn’t a massive grassroots outcry in the United States for Trump.
The Trump family could easily have their good old days back. Trump could resign tomorrow, and go back to eat junk food while watching Fox News in Trump Tower. If Trump doesn’t want to leave voluntarily, the voters could hear the pleas of his family and send Trump home in 2020. The Trump’s act like they made some sort of great sacrifice to come to Washington, D.C. and rob the taxpayers blind through graft and corruption.
America is sacrificing itself to put up with Trump. The best thing that could happen to this country is that Trump and his crime family get their wish and go back to their old lives.
