Philly Mayor Rips Trump For Not Being A True Patriot After He Disinvites The Eagles To The White House

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney lit Trump up for throwing a party that nobody wanted to attend after the president disinvited the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles to the White House.
Mayor Kenney said in a statement:

The Eagles call the birthplace of our democracy home, so it’s no surprise that this team embodies everything that makes our country and our city great. Their athletic accomplishments on the field led to an historic victory this year. Fans all across the country rallied behind them because we like to root for the underdog and we feel joy when we see the underdogs finally win. I’m equally proud of the Eagles’ activism off the field. These are players who stand up for the causes they believe in and who contribute in meaningful ways to their community. They represent the diversity of our nation—a nation in which we are free to express our opinions.

Disinviting them from the White House only proves that our President is not a true patriot, but a fragile egomaniac obsessed with crowd size and afraid of the embarrassment of throwing a party to which no one wants to attend.

Real Winners want nothing to do with Trump

Trump has deluded himself into believing that he is a winner, but real winners want nothing to do with this president. The only people who want to hang out with him are possible dementia patient Rudy Giuliani and mentally ill rapper Kanye West. Real winners like the Eagles and the Golden State Warriors avoid Trump like the plague. Donald Trump has politicized everything. No other president has had world champions not wanting to associate with him, because other presidents treated the welcoming of champions to the White House as a non-partisan non-political event.

It is Trump has made sports political by attacking African-American athletes for political gain.

George W. Bush and Ronald Reagan had no trouble with getting Super Bowl winners to the White House, so this isn’t about partisan politics. It’s about Donald Trump the man, and the vile brand of division and hatred that he traffics in.

Trump isn’t a patriot. He’s a loser who nobody wants to hang out with.
