Trump Didn’t Know The Words To The National Anthem At His Celebration Of America

President Trump made a big show of holding a ‘celebration of America’ after he is disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House, and with all eyes on him, the President Of The United States got the words to the national anthem wrong.

As you can see in the White House’s own video above, Trump got as far as the second line of the Star Spangled Banner, “What so proudly we hail’d at the twilight’s last gleaming,” before his mouth contorted and he clearly didn’t know the words. Trump made it through another line of the anthem before he got lost again on the line, “O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming?”

Trump criticized the Philadelphia Eagles for disagreeing, “with their President because he insists that they proudly stand for the National Anthem, hand on heart, in honor of the great men and women of our military and the people of our country.” However, it turns out that the man who has wrapped himself in the flag to attack African-American NFL players doesn’t even know all of the words to the national anthem of the country that he is supposed to be leading.

Trump’s campaign is under federal investigation for potential crimes against his country during the 2016 election. In this context, it is no surprise that a man whose presidential campaign may have committed treason by illegal collaborating with a hostile foreign power to win a presidential election does not know the words to the national anthem.
