Ivanka Trump Gets Busted And Gives Mueller The Basis For Trump/Russia Collusion

Ivanka Trump was caught meeting with the Russian who was trying to set up the get-together Trump and Putin on Trump’s Moscow project.

Buzzfeed reported, “There is no evidence that Ivanka Trump’s contact with the athlete — the former Olympic weightlifter Dmitry Klokov — was illegal or that it had anything to do with the election. Nor is it clear that Klokov could even have introduced Trump to the Russian president. But congressional investigators have reviewed emails and questioned witnesses about the interaction, according to two of the sources, and so has special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, according to the other two. The contacts reveal that even as her father was campaigning to become president of the United States, Ivanka Trump connected Michael Cohen with a Russian who offered to arrange a meeting with one of the US’s adversaries — in order to help close a business deal that could have made the Trump family millions.”

Why the report of the meeting is bad for the Trumps is not based on legality or even the 2016 election. The meeting is important because Donald Trump has claimed that has or never had any business in Russia. It is clear that the Trumps did have business in Russia and were looking to build a Trump Moscow. For the Special Counsel to potentially argue that the Trump campaign illegally conspired with Russia, he has to demonstrate that there was a relationship between the two parties.

Ivanka Trump’s meeting is a direct indication of that relationship. The Russians were not only involved with members of the Trump campaign, but also the Trump family themselves. If Ivanka and Don Jr. were talking to Russians during the presidential campaign, it is impossible to believe that Trump wasn’t doing the same.
