Jaws Drop As Jeff Sessions Claims The Bible Justifies Tearing Apart Families At The Border

Just when you thought the Trump administration couldn’t get any more shameful, they rise to the occasion.

This times it comes in the form of jaw-dropping comments made by Attorney General Jeff Sessions regarding the Trump administration’s new policy of breaking up families at the southern border.

According to the anti-immigrant attorney general, the Bible justifies ripping migrant children from their parents’ arms.

Sessions cited apostle Paul’s “clear and wise command” when defending the administration’s new practice.

Sessions added that the Trump administration policy of separating families is “not unusual or unjustified.”

Of course, there is nothing usual or justified about it. No true person of faith would see the images coming out of the southern border – particularly the new reporting that a baby was ripped from her mother’s arms as she was breastfeeding her – and think it’s okay.

But the Bible defense, echoed by Sarah Huckabee Sanders at Thursday’s press briefing, is essentially an admission by the White House that, yes, they are owning this new immigration practice.

Not only are they owning it, but they are claiming to be doing God’s work by tearing families apart.

Jeff Sessions lives for this policy

Donald Trump has spent much of his presidency threatening to fire or lobbing attacks at his attorney general for having the nerve to recuse himself from the Russia investigation.

Trump has frequently said that if he knew Sessions wasn’t going to help him skirt the law, he would have chosen somebody else to serve as attorney general.

Any other administration member likely would have walked away and never looked back, but Sessions has kept his head down and stuck by.

The reason, of course, is that he is fulfilling his life goal of implementing some of the most inhumane and anti-American immigration policies this country has ever seen.
