MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell didn’t hold back when Sarah Huckabee Sanders tried to play the victim after she was asked to leave a restaurant because she works for Trump.
The host of MSNBC’s The Last Word, Lawrence O’Donnell responded to Sanders:
Sarah Sanders has shown a lack of respect for reporters, the presidency as an institution, her duties as press secretary, and the American people. Sanders has turned the position of press secretary into Trump propaganda. Lying to reporters and the American people to protect a president is not respectful. Sanders may be a nice person in private, but respect is also a part of her very public job, and she has shown a total lack of respect for the truth as White House Press Secretary.
Sanders chose to serve Trump over her country. She is the face and voice of Trump’s lying administration. The restaurant incident demonstrates that the Trump administration is so toxic that the people who work for Donald Trump can’t show their faces in public. The lies and insults to reports have played well to her audience of one in the Oval Office, but the rest of the country also sees what she is doing and would rather not associate with a person of the sort of character who would work for Donald Trump.
