Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) terrified Republicans and their mainstream media enablers by calling for the public to confront Trump officials anywhere you see them in public over their policies.
Video:
Waters said, “If you think we’re rallying now, you ain’t seen nothing yet. You have members of your cabinet being booed out of restaurants. You have protesters taking up at their house. We say no peace, no sleep. No peace, so sleep. And guess what? We’re going to win this battle, because while you try to quote the Bible, Jeff Sessions and others, you really don’t know the Bible. God is on our side. On the side of the children. On the side of what’s right. On the side of what’s honorable. On the side of understanding that if we can’t protect the children, we can’t protect anybody, and so let’s stay the course. Let’s make sure that we show up where ever we have to show up. If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out, and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.”

They are claiming that Maxine Waters was advocating attacking members of the Trump administration, which is false. Rep. Waters was urging people to use their First Amendment rights to confront Trump administration officials about their child separation policy where ever you see them. Waters wasn’t urging violence or any harm to anyone. She is telling people to stand up to the Trump administration and make their voices heard, but we all know that nothing terrifies Republicans more than empowered people using their rights.
The right and some in the mainstream media are trying to distort the remarks of Rep. Waters because it plays into their midterm election strategy of dividing the country based on race. Republicans are terrified because they see real Americans coming to take their country back in November. Republican control of the federal government has been a disaster, and once Democrats take back all or part of Congress, Trump will be the next one to go in 2020.
Change is coming, and Republicans are scared out of their minds.
