Trump Takes Credit For Avoiding N. Korea War That He Almost Started

In a wild morning tweet storm President Donald Trump complained about Democrats who are “weak on crime,” the Fake News, the infestation of MS-13 gangs, unfair trade deals, “Crazy Maxine Waters,” and Nancy Pelosi. And as if that wasn’t enough, he also said that if it wasn’t for him the U.S. would now be at war with North Korea, and “all of Asia is thrilled.”

“Many good conversations with North Korea-it is going well! In the meantime, no Rocket Launches or Nuclear Testing in 8 months. All of Asia is thrilled. Only the Opposition Party, which includes the Fake News, is complaining. If not for me, we would now be at War with North Korea!”

But in his first tweet of the day he doubled down on his insults and criticisms of Maxine Waters who he had previously called “a very low IQ person.” Today he called her “one of the most corrupt people in politics” and “the FACE of the Democrat Party:

“Crazy Maxine Waters, said by some to be one of the most corrupt people in politics, is rapidly becoming, together with Nancy Pelosi, the FACE of the Democrat Party. Her ranting and raving, even referring to herself as a wounded animal, will make people flee the Democrats!”

In another tweet he complained further about “the Democrats who are weak on the Border and weak on crime” showing his concern about November’s midterm elections:

“How can the Democrats, who are weak on the Border and weak on Crime, do well in November. The people of our Country want and demand Safety and Security, while the Democrats are more interested in  ripping apart and demeaning (and not properly funding) our great Law Enforcement!”

Ironically he says it is Democrats who are “ripping apart and demeaning our great Law Enforcement” when it is him who has been working for months trying to undercut the Department of Justice and the FBI. And once again he tried to tie the Democrats to MS-13 gangs while showing his support for ICE:

“When we have an “infestation” of MS-13 GANGS in certain parts of our country, who do we send to get them out? ICE! They are tougher and smarter than these rough criminal elelments that bad immigration laws allow into our country. Dems do not appreciate the great job they do! Nov.”

Since he ended this tweet with the word “Nov.” it shows that he clearly thinks that attacking Democrats over ICE will help Republicans win in the November elections. In fact, that is probably the motivation for all of these tweets.  He wants to win politically, and he thinks that posting unhinged tweet storms is the way for him to win elections.

As evidence of this he also had to falsely tweet about the economy, saying it is doing “better than ever before,” which is a lie.

“The economy is doing perhaps better than ever before, and that’s prior to fixing some of the worst and most unfair Trade Deals ever made by any country. In any event, they are coming along very well. Most countries agree that they must be changed, but nobody ever asked!”

This tweet also gives a clue to Trump’s bigger strategy.  He is using it to defend his trade war policy of imposing tariffs on all U.S. trading partners, which almost every knowledgeable person thinks is a bad idea.

Donald Trump thinks that by continuing to attack a black woman, the media, immigrants, Democrats and our trading partners he will fire up his base of supporters.  And he believes that if he does this enough then the GOP will prevail in the fall elections.

Donald Trump doesn’t realize that the vast majority of American voters don’t believe his lies, even if they are put in the form of a tweet.

He also doesn’t realize that his race-baiting attacks on women, his incarceration of migrant children, and his senseless trade war are not popular and will undoubtedly lead to a crushing defeat for his party in November.
