Michael Avenatti, who is the lawyer for Stormy Daniels, is threatening to run for president against Trump if he sees no one who can beat him.
Avenatti tweeted:
IF (big) he seeks re-election, I will run, but only if I think that there is no other candidate in the race that has a REAL chance at beating him. We can't relive 2016. I love this country, our values and our people too much to sit by while they are destroyed. #FightClub #Basta

Avenatti is baiting Trump
As much as it would be to have a candidate who has seen the evidence against Trump from the Michael Cohen investigation run against the president, one gets the sense that these are more head games from Avenatti that are intended to get Trump to further incriminate himself. However, if there is anyone in America outside of Robert Mueller who knows about Trump’s crimes as a non-Trump world insider, it is Avenatti.
It would be Trump’s worst nightmare to have his opponent talk about all of his scandals in endless detail for an entire presidential campaign. There is more to running for president than being against your opponent. A Democratic candidate won’t win only by being anti-Trump. They will have to lay out a positive vision to restore the values and honor that Trump has destroyed. Having Avenatti torment Trump in an election would be fun, but this election needs more than Michael Avenatti for a Democratic to win.
