More OSU Wrestlers Accuse Rep. Jordan As He Calls Sex Scandal a Deep State Plot

Embattled Ohio Republican Jim Jordan, who is accused by numerous former college wrestlers of ignoring their complaints of sexual abuse at the hands of the team doctor while Jordan was their coach at Ohio State, said on Thursday that the entire sex scandal is a false-flag deep-state conspiracy concocted by the Justice Department to stop him from becoming Speaker of the House. He said that he believes the sexual abuse scandal is not only tied to his run for the speakership but also was a direct result of his grilling of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein at a Congressional hearing last week.

“GOP Rep @Jim_Jordan now says the teen sex scandal is part of a deep-state plot by Deputy AG Rosenstein to derail Jordan’s run at the Speakership.
So Rosenstein went back 40 yrs & got Jordan’s coworker to molest 2000 boys all to hurt Jordan in 2018.
Damn, Rosenstein’s good.”

Jordan is a powerful member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, and has been discussed as a replacement for Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. Jordan’s Speaker plans are now in jeopardy because of the growing sex scandal, and his Democratic opponent is rising in the polls so his reelection in November might not be a sure thing either.

Also on Thursday a fourth former Ohio State University wrestler came forward Thursday to contradict Jordan’s claim that he was completely unaware of the sex abuse that was happening under his nose, and that he had no idea the OSU team doctor was molesting athletes.

The former OSU wrestler, Shawn Dailey, told NBC News that he was sexually abused by team doctor Richard Strauss on numerous occasions. Dailey also said he did not report the incidents to Jordan, his assistant wrestling coach at the time, because he was too embarrassed.  He also said Jordan, however, participated in conversations with wrestling team members about Strauss’s abuse of athletes..

Despite the new charges Jordan has continued to deny seeing, knowing or hearing about any sex abuse while at OSU. Dailey described Jordan as a close friend and called his denials “kind of hurtful.”

“What happened drove me out of the sport,” Dailey told NBC. “So I was surprised to hear Jim say that he knew nothing about it.”

Several of the former students not only claim that Jordan was told of the abuse they also say that it would have been impossible for Jordan not to know, since everyone knew that the doctor would routinely sexually assault the boys during their visits to his office.  He also would get naked and stand in the communal showers with the boys for an hour at a time, even when he hadn’t worked out and didn’t need a shower.  The doctor’s locker was right next to Jordan’s.

Jordan is a top Trump supporter in the House, and he has repeatedly claimed without evidence that there is a deep state conspiracy in the Department of Justice and FBI that tried to get Hillary Clinton elected. His latest attempt to deflect the accusations that he was complicit in sexual abuse of boys by claiming it’s all a deep state plot may work with his hardcore supporters but will not work with the majority of American voters.

As more facts come out and it is proven that Jim Jordan is lying about the coverup of the sex scandal, his political future is in doubt, and he may even contribute to the takeover of the House by the Democratic Party.
