Morning Joe’s Mika Says Trump Is ‘Completely Unhinged and Getting Worse’

MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski had some harsh words for President Donald Trump on Friday after his latest rally Thursday night in Pennsylvania.

According to Brzezinski and many observers Trump’s latest performance offered more evidence than ever that the president’s mental health is declining, with ominous consequences for the country.

Brzezinski said that Trump’s rambling rally address offered a window into what she described as his “mental decline.”

According to Brzezinski, who has known Trump for several decades when they both were living in New York, the situation is much worse than it has ever been.

“He’s not well,” she said bluntly. “That’s the bottom line. There’s no way anyone who knows Donald Trump, but has not bought in in some way, could watch him last night and not come away with the feeling that the President of the United States is completely unhinged and getting worse by the day.”

At Trump’s recent rallies he has gone off on senseless rants that are out of touch with reality, but are effective at stirring up passionate emotions of his devoted followers. He is filling their heads with fear and conspiracy theories about immigrants and non-whites and “the Deep State.” Every rally is filled with multiple lies which his uninformed supporters believe, and upon which many of them base their own actions.

For confirmation, Brzezinski pointed to former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault-Newman who wrote in her new book that Trump often spoke “gibberish” after being elected president. She also asserts that Trump’s “mental decline… could not be denied.”

Morning Joe guest Donny Deutsch also confirmed that Trump’s serious and rapid mental decline becomes apparent by comparing interviews that he conducted a few years ago with the interviews he’s conducted since he won the presidential election.

“A few months ago, I watched an hour-long interview I did with him in 2007,” Deutsch said. “His cadence, his eyes — he was a different guy. And I would ask everybody to go and look at some old interviews with Donald Trump. He’s not just younger. His entire mannerisms, entire way of speaking is different.”

More explosive allegations about the president will soon be revealed in Omarosa’s book Unhinged: An Insider’s Account of the Trump White House that will go on sale August 14th. Excerpts from the book were recently published in  the DailyMail. One section describes Trump’s noticeable cognitive decline.

“While watching the Lester Holt interview I realized that something real and serious was going on in Donald’s brain. His mental decline could not be denied,” Omarosa wrote in the book. “Many didn’t notice it as keenly as I did because I knew him way back when. They thought Trump was being Trump, off the cuff, But I knew something wasn’t right.”

“Donald rambled. He spoke gibberish. He contradicted himself from one sentence to the next,” she said.

As long as he is President of the United States Donald Trump poses a serious risk to the United States and to the entire world. His rapidly deteriorating mental state should be of great concern to everyone, not just to his political opponents. It is time for Republicans in charge of Congress to do something to minimize these risks and make sure that the president doesn’t have the opportunity to do more serious and lasting damage.
