Lindsey Graham Reveals That Trump Threw A Tantrum About Robert Mueller During Golf Outing

Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham revealed this week that during a weekend golf outing with Donald Trump, the increasingly unhinged president threw a tantrum about Robert Mueller’s ongoing Russia investigation.

According to Roll Call, “The South Carolina Republican, who played golf with Trump on Sunday in New Jersey and discussed several issues with the president, was asked about the investigation of Russian efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election at a Monday evening event hosted by the Greenville County Republican Party.”

“Did Trump ask that question? He must have mentioned that about 20 times,” Graham said, according to the report.

The Republican senator’s comments confirm that Trump is increasingly obsessed and in a panic over the Mueller investigation – something he hasn’t been afraid to show publicly over the past several weeks.

The fact that the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., looks to be in increasing legal trouble has likely added fuel to this fire.

Sen. Graham reassured Trump by feeding into his conspiracy theories

Instead of telling Trump that his conspiracy theories both about Robert Mueller’s investigation and Hillary Clinton are nonsense, Sen. Graham fed into them.

The Republican senator said, “I told the president this: I promise you, you’ll be treated fairly. I promise you that the people who put the Clinton investigation in the tank, they’re going to have their day too.”

Of course, the Clinton investigation was not put in the tank. It was just based wholly on ludicrous conspiracy theories meant to score political points. That’s why it went nowhere.

Sen. Graham even suggested that if Republicans hold the Senate after the midterm elections, he would be happy to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clinton – Trump’s former opponent.

“What they did during the 2016 election on behalf of Clinton appalls me,” he said, ignoring the fact that the FBI actually hurt the Democrat’s campaign.

“There’s a good chance I’ll be Judiciary chairman if we hold the Senate next year. If I’m Judiciary chairman? Stay tuned,” he added.

If that’s not another good reason to vote for Democratic candidates this fall, I’m not sure what is.
