Omarosa Claims She Walked In On Trump And Caught Him Eating Paper

The White House has had a constant problem with Trump destroying his papers, but according to Omarosa, she walked in on Trump in the White House and caught him eating a note.

The Washington Post reported:

In early 2017, Manigault Newman says she walked Michael Cohen, then Trump’s personal lawyer, into the Oval Office for a meeting with Trump — and saw the president chewing up a piece of paper while Cohen was leaving the office. Another White House official confirmed that Manigault Newman brought Cohen into the White House and was later rebuked for it. The two remain in contact, according to people familiar with the relationship.

“I saw him put a note in his mouth. Since Trump was ever the germaphobe, I was shocked he appeared to be chewing and swallowing the paper. It must have been something very, very sensitive,” she writes in her book.

There is no proof that he chewed on paper, and several White House aides laughed at the assertion and said it was not true.

There is evidence that Trump destroys his papers

It was reported in June that the White House has a team of people who do nothing but reassemble Trump’s papers because the president tears up paper and throws it away when he is done reading it. Trump’s behavior is a violation of the Presidential Records Act that requires all papers and documents be kept for the public record. Eating the paper is a different story. The White House can laugh at the claim, but given Trump’s odd day to day behavior, and his paper destroying compulsion, nothing should be ruled out as totally impossible at this point.

The Omarosa book is another distraction for this White House. An administration that already spends zero time governing is going to be obsessed with another tell-all book for days to come.

It is all nonsense, and one can feel that the nation would like nothing more than to see the Trump circus get run out of town.
