Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said that Trump’s revoking of Brennan’s security clearance was not only un-American. It was also illegal.
Schiff tweeted:
There is a process for revoking a security clearance and Donald Trump didn’t follow that process, which means that the president who believes that he is above the law has broken the law.

Schiff’s comments are important because if Democrats win back control of the House of Representatives, he will be in charge of the committee that will investigate the Russia scandal, but also be responsible for oversight of the intelligence community. Democrats are likely to investigate Trump for his revoking of security clearance for Brennan and anyone else that this president tries to go after.
Trump broke the law, and in 82 days, voters have a chance to put Democrats in charge so that they can do something about it.
