Trump, who has been accused of sexual harassment and sexual assault by dozens of women is standing behind his potentially sexually assaulting Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.
Trump‘s said, according to the White House pool report, as provided to PoliticusUSA:
Never even had a little blemish on his record….
He is somebody very special…I wish the Democrats could have done this a lot sooner… but with all of that being said we want to go through the process.”
“We want to go through a full process…and hear everybody out.”

“He is one of the great intellects and one of the finest people….I’d like everybody to be very happy”
“If it takes a little delay it’ll take a little delay.” Shouldn’t be much delay.
“I’m sure it will work out very well.”
Video of Trump‘s comments:
Trump defended Kavanaugh but also admitted that he hasn’t spoken to his own Supreme Court nominee. Trump calling Kavanaugh a great intellect is damning a person with the faintest of praise. The Kavanaugh nomination is not dead, but it is severely damaged. Republicans don’t want to hold a hearing. In fact, it looks like the Republican leadership is doing everything in their power to avoid holding a hearing.
There should not be any votes on Brett Kavanaugh‘s nomination until hearings are held. Christine Ford has passed a polygraph test. She is willing to testify, and there are therapist’s notes from 6 years ago discussing the attack.
Republicans are only making the situation worse for themselves by trying to spin this away. Brett Kavanaugh has already lied under oath, and he has everything to lose from the truth coming out.
A ringing endorsement from the Predator In Chief doesn’t help Kavanaugh. It may be another step toward dooming his nomination.
