Avenatti: ‘Brett Kavanaugh Is A Liar’ and His Claims Are ‘Laughable’

Like many people, Michael Avenatti thinks that Brett Kavanaugh’s interview on Fox News was pathetic, and his claims of being a virgin in high school are pathetic. He also thinks that Kavanaugh “is a liar.”

Early this morning he tweeted:

Brett Kavanaugh is a liar. His “I was just an innocent boy” claims on Fox are laughable and an insult to any American with common sense. They are irreconcilable with the yearbook, many witnesses, & my clients.
His claims about the drinking age at the time also appear to be false.”

The prominent attorney also said that his client’s name will be disclosed only when she is ready to do so. She would be the third Kavanaugh accuser to go public with claims of sexual assault.

“Let me be clear: We will disclose the client’s name and accusations only when SHE is ready and we have adequate security measures in place. And not a moment before that. It is her choice and hers alone as to when to surface bc it is her life. We expect it within the next 36 hrs.”

So actually the timetable is the same, in that 12 hours earlier Avenatti had said the name would be disclosed within 48 hours.

A tension is building in Washington as Avenatti and his unnamed client seem to be building to a climax.

They seem poised to go on national TV to testify in detail to the public about how Kavanaugh and his friends in high school got girls drunk (or drugged) and then raped them.

If that happens, the accusations so far against Trump’s Supreme Court nominee will seem pale by comparison.

It’s hard to imagine Senator Susan Collins or any other “swing” votes in the Senate voting to confirm someone with so many credible sexual assault claims against him. At the very least they will demand an FBI investigation to find out the truth.

Avenatti was also on CNN last night where he told Chris Cuomo that his client is “both” a witness and a victim of Kavanaugh’s who “had a number of security clearances issued by the federal government over a number of years.”

Then he went on to say:

“So let this be a warning to Donald Trump, Brett Kavanaugh and other surrogates on the Senate Judiciary Committee. Be very, very careful if you launch some smear campaign against my client because you will ultimately be shown to be a fraud.”

Michael Avenatti does not mess around. He doesn’t back down. And he doesn’t lose. He has issued a warning to Trump, Kavanaugh, and all the Republicans in the U.S. Senate. They better be ready for a fight, because he is coming after them.
