She answered, “I think both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh are victims at the hands of the Democrats. I think it absolutely disgraceful what they’ve done. They exploited this process. They exploited Dr. Ford. They’re exploiting all the women that have come out to make any type of accusation. This is the process that should have been done.”

The Strategy From The White House Is To Turn Sexual Assault Into A Partisan Issue

The Trump administration’s go to move on any issue is to exploit or create a partisan divide. Sarah Sanders was trying to create a partisan divide on sexual assault. Sanders couldn’t defend the behavior that Kavanaugh is accused of, so she tried to discredit those who are fighting for an investigation into Brett Kavanaugh’s alleged behavior.

For all of the accurate discussion of chaos and dysfunction around Trump, there are some consistent patterns emerging. Donald Trump and his administration are always going to try to divide. They are always going to try to gin up their 30%-35% base of support and drive a wedge through the country.

Sarah Sanders Used Fox News Tactics

Trump and his White House didn’t invent this technique. This is straight out of the Roger Ailes playbook. Trump learned from watching Fox News. Of course, the Democrats did not victimize Dr. Ford. Brett Kavanaugh is not a victim. Kavanaugh is accused of several horrible and disqualifying crimes against women.

Sanders was trying to take attention away from what Kavanaugh is accused of doing, and place the focus on the partisan divide.

Asking for a proper investigation is not a partisan issue. The Kavanaugh confirmation process has been a rushed joke, where Republicans have gone out of their way to block any serious investigation of their nominee.

Brett Kavanaugh isn’t a victim. He is the accused. Democrats aren’t exploiting victims. They are defending them and trying to determine if Trump nominated a sexual predator for a lifetime appointment to the Supreme Court.

Partisanship and Fox News style politics can’t hide the very issues in Brett Kavanaugh’s character that should disqualify his nomination.
