Trump Claims That Many Democrats Are Going To Vote Republican This Year

Trump has cooked up a fantasy where Democrats who have been counting down the days until they can vote against him and his party are going to vote Republican on election day.

Video:

Trump said, “I think a lot of Democrats are going to vote Republican because I have many friends that are Democrats. The main base of the Democrats have shifted so far left that we’ll end up being Venezuela. This country would end up being Venezuela. I think a lot of Democrats are going to be voting Republican on November 6th.”

Trump keeps giving Republicans reasons not to vote

Trump continues to feed the Republican Party’s complacency problem by giving them reasons not to show up and vote. Trump’s claim that Democrats will be crossing over to vote Republican because the party has moved too far left is a fantasy and the kind of story that someone makes up when they don’t want to face the reality that they are about to get their head handed to them in an election.

A skilled politician would have said something like we need to get Republicans out to vote, and not send the message that Republicans have nothing to worry about because if they don’t vote, Democrats will come out and vote Republican for them.
Trump continues to find new and different ways to doom his party’s chances next month. It is a comforting thought to Trump and his supporters, but Democrats will not be crossing over to support Trump and his party in November.
