Hillary Clinton responded to Trump’s claim that she colluded with Russia by reminding him that he asked Russia to hack her on national television.

During his Wednesday night rally in Erie, PA, Trump said, “There was collusion between Hillary, the Democrats and Russia. There was a lot of collusion with them and Russia and lots of other people.”

Clinton responded with a tweet:

Trump did ask Russia to hack Clinton

During a July 26, 2016 press conference, Trump said, “If it is Russia, which it’s probably not, nobody knows who it is, But if it is Russia, it’s really bad for a different reason, because it shows how little respect they have for our country. When they would hack into a major party and get everything, but it would be interesting. I will tell you this. Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you find the thirty thousand emails that are missing. I think you’ll probably be rewarded mightily by our press. Let’s see if that happens next.”

If Clinton colluded with Russia, why aren’t Republicans in Congress investigating her? Why hasn’t Robert Mueller talked to her? The answer to these questions is that there was no Clinton/Russia collusion. It is another classic case of Trump projection. Trump is projection his own behavior, which as Hillary Clinton pointed out aired on national television, on to Clinton.

This isn’t 2016. Trump can’t get away with changing the subject by blaming his opponent.

Trump asked for Russia’s help in front of the entire world, and his conspiracy is so absurd that Hillary Clinton only needed a single sentence to shoot it down.
