NYC Mayor Calls Apparent Trump Inspired Bombings An Act Of Terror

NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio called the apparently Trump inspired targeting of Democrats and CNN with bombs an act of terror.

Mayor de Blasio said at a news conference:

What we have seen today is an effort to terrorize, and this is clearly an act of terror, and attempting to undermine our free press and leaders of this country through acts of violence. I want to the make clear that the people of New York City will not be intimidated. That we are going to be going about our lives undeterred, because the very concept of terrorism is to change us, and we will not allow it to happen. You cannot be terrorized if you refuse to allow the terrorists to the win.

The people of the city have shown time and again that they stand up in the face of these efforts to intimidate. I want to thank the people of New York City for the way they are handling this the situation today. I want to to thank the first responders. Commissioner, to you and all of the men and women of the NYPD and the extraordinary efforts today and FDNY state and federal partners. Everyone worked swiftly. I want to commend everyone at CNN for the professionalism with which they handled this very troubling incident.

The bomber appears to be inspired by Trump’s rhetoric

The list of targets who have received bombs is the same as Donald Trump’s favorite enemies. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, George Soros, CNN, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and John Brennan. Not a single Republican or conservative news organization has been targeted.

Trump has gone silent and limited himself a retweet of Mike Pence<.
Trump’s rhetoric has finally translated to attempted acts of terrorism. Mayor de Blasio was correct. These bombings are a terrorist attack, and they were timed right before the midterm election.

America won’t be intimidated, and it would not be surprising if the bomber were acting on the words of Donald Trump.
