Adam Schiff Gives Trump A Black Friday By Investigating His Saudi Ties

Incoming House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) announced that his committee would be investigating Trump’s ties to Saudi Arabia.

Rep. Schiff told Greg Sargent The Washington Post:


Certainly, we will be delving further into the murder of Khashoggi, and I want to make sure that the committee is fully debriefed on it. We will certainly want to examine what the intelligence community knows about the murder.

We’ll look at what the intelligence community assessments are at any given time.“Then it will be quite clear whether the president is relying on the intelligence community and our best source of information or whether the president is representing something very different.

There are a whole set of potential financial conflicts of interest and emoluments problems that Congress will need to get to the bottom of. Certainly, if foreign investment in the Trump businesses is guiding U.S. policy in a way that’s antithetical to the country’s interests, we need to find out about it.

Trump’s Thanksgiving Day Rant Has Led To A Black Friday For The White House

Trump’s bizarre statement defending the Saudi murder of Khashoggi had already raised alarm bells, but his rant defending the regime on Thanksgiving day sealed the deal on a House investigation. House Democrats could spend the next two years investigating Trump every day, and they wouldn’t get through half of the aspects of the president, his family, and his administration that are worthy of investigation.

Just like Trump’s constant support of Putin, his behavior likely is related to personal financial interests. Democrats are coming, and if US foreign policy is being made based Trump financial ties, it is a national security crisis that will zoom to the top of the list of potential Democratic investigations of this president.

Black Friday just got a lot darker for Trump thanks to Adam Schiff and House Democrats.
