Corsi Sues Mueller, the DOJ, the FBI, the NSA and the CIA

Wacky conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi filed a lawsuit in Washington on Sunday against special counsel Robert Mueller, the Department of Justice, the FBI, the NSA and the CIA.

The suit alleges that Mueller and other federal agencies surveilled him illegally as part of the special counsel’s investigation into contacts between Russia and the Trump 2016 presidential campaign.

Corsi’s lawsuit also says that the special counsel’s office leaked confidential information about Corsi’s testimony in front of the grand jury Mueller had called as part of his inquiry.

The document makes the following claim:

“Defendant Mueller and his prosecutorial and media staff, acting in their official capacity and personally, illegally released grand jury information to harm Plaintiff Corsi by attempting to destroy his reputation and personal and professional well-being and livelihood, thus also attempting to drive him into bankruptcy.”

Corsi, the original “birther” conspiracy theorist, and friend of Roger Stone, has previously filed complaints with the Department of Justice. He has requested that criminal and ethical investigations be opened up into the special counsel’s office, claiming misconduct in the Mueller investigation.

Corsi has acknowledged that he will likely face an indictment from the special counsel in the near future.

Last month he disclosed publicly a plea deal offer from Mueller, in which Corsi would have pleaded guilty to one count of making false claims to investigators in exchange for no prison time. Corsi appeared in several television interviews saying he had rejected Mueller’s offer, and that he is prepared to die in prison.

Corsi’s lawsuit filed yesterday alleges that Mueller’s team took actions “intended to coerce, extort, threaten and/or blackmail him into submission and designed to remove the current president of the United States for political and other improper purposes.”

The document claims that the DOJ, FBI, NSA and CIA – in addition to Mueller – “have engaged in ongoing illegal, unconstitutional surveillance” on Corsi, violating his Fourth Amendment rights as well as other U.S. laws.

The conspiracy theorist also claimed that Mueller’s team had leaked information about Corsi to the media.

The document pointed to an ABC News article about the special counsel’s examination of Corsi, claiming it included details that “could only possibly have come from Defendant Mueller.”

Those details include that Corsi has become a “central person of interest” to the special counsel, and that Mueller had evidence suggesting that Corsi had prior knowledge of WikiLeaks’ release of hacked emails from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.

Corsi is requesting an injunction in his case, as well as $350 million in damages.
