In a brief two-sentence statement, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer gave Trump a choice to keep the government open or closed, but no wall.
After a meeting where Trump lost it and promised to shut the government down, Pelosi and Schumer said, “We gave the President two options that would keep the government open. It’s his choice to accept one of those options or shut the government down.â€

Pelosi and Schumer offered Trump a one year CR or a CR that would keep the six government agencies open that need funding, but Pelosi made it clear that House Democrats are not willing to vote to give Trump one cent for his wall.
By losing his temper, Trump handed everything to Pelosi and Schumer.
Trump said that he would be happy to take responsibility for a government shutdown because he wants his wall.
In other words:
Nancy Pelosi has Trump by whatever passes for his b*lls and she is also used to dealing with children.
In language Trump would understand: Even when you’re a star, Pelosi won’t let you do it.
