Soon to be Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) told Trump that the shutdown-ending bill she’ll pass is a just a taste of what is come.
Pelosi tweeted in response to Trump:
.@realDonaldTrump has given Democrats a great opportunity to show how we will govern responsibly & quickly pass our plan to end the irresponsible #TrumpShutdown – just the first sign of things to come in our new Democratic Majority committed to working #ForThePeople. https://t.co/CGl1euCotB

While the Trump administration has delusionally convinced themselves that they are winning the government shutdown because it is keeping House Democrats from hitting the ground running, Democrats are telling Trump that they are going to pass their bill reopening the government with no wall money, and it will be Mitch McConnell and Trump‘s problem if they choose to keep the government closed.
Speaker Pelosi and the House Democrats aren’t going to be distracted by Trump‘s tantrums and games. They are focused on doing the job for the American people. Trump has already lost the government shutdown, and House Democrats aren’t going to give him a way to slow down their progress or claim victory in the face of such a crushing defeat.
