Trump Wishes ‘HATERS’ and ‘FAKE NEWS MEDIA’ Happy New Year

Donald Trump posted an all-caps presidential tweet early on New Years Day, wishing a happy 2019 to the “HATERS and the FAKE NEWS MEDIA.” It was his second tweet of the year.

He wrote:

“HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE HATERS AND THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA! 2019 WILL BE A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR THOSE NOT SUFFERING FROM TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME. JUST CALM DOWN AND ENJOY THE RIDE, GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR OUR COUNTRY!”

In his first tweet of the year he plugged a book from one of his right-wing supporters, Dr. Sebastian Gorka, who he called “a very good and talented guy.”

On Monday Trump said that he is “not giving up” on getting funding for a wall along the southern border, saying that he has “no choice” but to continue the government shutdown over the wall. He also said he is waiting for the Democrats to make a deal with him.

Speaking to Fox News he said:

“We are not giving up. We have to have border security. And the wall is a big part of border security — the biggest part.”

“I’m ready, willing and able to negotiate. I’m in the White House. I’m ready to go. They can come over right now. They could have come over any time. I spent Christmas in the White House. I spent New Year’s Eve now in the White House. I’m here. I’m ready to go.”

Trump didn’t say during the interview if he is still demanding the full $5 billion in wall funding. House Democrats have said they will not agree to fund any portion of his border wall, which House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi has called “immoral.”

Trump also went on Twitter on Monday night to promote his wall, saying that “without the Wall there can be no Border Security” and predicting that Democrats won’t offer to fund the wall.

“The Democrats will probably submit a Bill, being cute as always, which gives everything away but gives NOTHING to Border Security, namely the Wall. You see, without the Wall there can be no Border Security – the Tech ‘stuff’ is just, by comparison, meaningless bells & whistles,” he tweeted, and then added:

“Remember this. Throughout the ages some things NEVER get better and NEVER change. You have Walls and you have Wheels. It was ALWAYS that way and it will ALWAYS be that way! Please explain to the Democrats that there can NEVER be a replacement for a good old fashioned WALL!”

Donald Trump continues to act as if all he has to do is post tweets and everyone else will do his bidding. But Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are not interested in giving this president a political win. Everyone knows that Trump is following the directions given to him by people like Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham. It’s not clear how this stalemate will end, but one thing we know for sure is that Donald Trump cannot be believed and he is not acting in the best interests of America.
