House and Senate Democrats aren’t going to be dragged into a White House stunt, and they are using the shutdown meeting to get into Trump‘s head.
Garrett Haake of NBC News reported, “They are coming into this discussion with fairly low expectations. Democrats were wary that they were being pulled into another stunt by the white house and not a good faith negotiation. They do see this as an opportunity to potentially change the way that the president is thinking about this or at least maybe get in his head a little bit. Part of that is they want to disrupt the kind of thing you’re about to hear.”

Democrats aren’t playing Trump’s games
For two years, Donald Trump and his chaos making games have been in control of the federal government, but that changes tomorrow. Democrats aren’t allowing Trump to set the tone any longer. Trump created this shutdown, and Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer aren’t going to give him a way out.
Democrats are coming to the meeting, because they have a message that they want to deliver to Trump, and that is that he needs to take the deal that is on the table. A better deal isn’t coming. Trump isn’t going to get a dime for his wall.
