Trump is so unstable and thin-skinned that he had his lawyer threatening over 50 people a year who wrote articles that Trump didn’t like. This behavior has continued through the Trump presidency. Lack of respect and intimidation of the media aren’t presidential quirks. They are core Trump beliefs that govern and guide his behavior as president and as a human being.

Donald Trump has been trying to intimidate the media for decades, and as Cohen’s testimony demonstrates his howls of fake news aren’t an old man yells at cloud sort of headline, but a deeply held authoritarian impulse to attack the free press.
