Disaster For Trump As 64% Of Voters Say He Committed Crimes

By a margin of 64%-24%, the American people believe that Donald Trump committed crimes before becoming president.

The latest Quinnipiac Poll is a disaster for Trump

According to the Quinnipiac University poll:

President Donald Trump committed crimes before he became president, American voters say 64 – 24 percent in a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today.

Republicans say 48 – 33 percent that President Trump did not commit crimes before he was president, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University National Poll finds. Every other listed party, gender, education, age, and racial group says by wide margins that Trump committed crimes.

But U.S. voters are divided 45 – 43 percent on whether Trump committed any crimes while he has been president. A presidential candidate paying money to hide a negative story during a campaign, and not disclosing that payment, is unethical and a crime, 40 percent of voters say. Another 21 percent say it is unethical, but not a crime and 20 percent say it is not unethical.

Trump’s denials aren’t convincing anyone, and his claims that the investigations are witch hunts are falling on deaf ears. The number of people who believe that Trump is innocent is lower than the president’s approval ratings, which means that some of his own supporters believe that he is a criminal.

Trump has lost the battle for public opinion

Trump continues to conduct a PR war against the investigations that he is being routed on. Trump thinks that he is fighting, but what is really doing is digging his own hole deeper. The American people overwhelmingly suspect that Trump is a criminal, but Democrats need to gather evidence and build the case that Trump is a criminal president who must be impeached.

A smart president would look at these numbers and understand that now would be a good time to shut up, but Donald Trump is not smart, so he is going to keep talking and making his situation worse until he is voted out or removed from office.

Most Americans already believe that Trump is a criminal. Now it is up to Democrats to prove that he is a criminal president.
