The Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee requested all documents related to Trump’s plan to move Pentagon money to fund his wall.

The lawmakers wrote, “While the President has issued a national emergency proclamation, our committees are still responsible for performing their constitutional oversight responsibilities. As such, given the speed with which we believe the Department of Defense may be acting in response to the emergency proclamation, we request that you produce the request documents and information no later than March 21, 2019.â€

Deomocrats aren’t going to allow Trump to just move money around for his wall
This congressional action is important because Democrats can’t wait for the courts to halt Trump’s actions. The Pentagon knows that there is going to be a major public backlash as soon as they announce who is losing funds to build Trump’s wall, so the administration has tried to keep people in the dark.
It has only been a few months with Democrats in control of the House, but the country is already learning more about the activities of the Trump administration than did during the entire two years that Republicans controlled all of Congress.
The good old days for Trump of being able to do whatever he wanted are long gone. Democrats are conducting real oversight, and Trump is going to have to tell the country who or what he is taking money from to fund the wall that Mexico was supposed to pay for.
