The Miami Herald reports this morning that Donald Trump last month was photographed partying with the founder of a chain of Florida day spas that are known for being involved with human trafficking and prostitution.
According to the Herald, Li Yang, the wealthy founder of the chain of profitable day spas attended Trump’s Super Bowl party at his Mar-a-Lago resort in February.
During the party, Li Yang sat down next to Trump and snapped a “selfie” pic of herself next to the president while he was cheering on the New England Patriots to a Super Bowl victory.
Nineteen days after the photo was taken, New England Patriots owner and Trump friend Robert Kraft was charged with soliciting prostitution at the Orchids of Asia spa in Jupiter, Florida. This is one of the locations owned by Li Yang that is known to be a front for the illegal sex trade. Authorities say they caught Kraft on camera paying for oral sex the morning of the Jan. 20 AFC Championship game won by the Patriots.
Even though she has been subject of a large human trafficking investigation by law enforcement agencies in South Florida, Yang herself has not been charged with any wrongdoing so far in the day spa scandal.
However, the Herald reports that “online reviews suggest sex was for sale at the spa.”
And this isn’t the only connection between Yang and Trump, the Herald reports.
“Since 2017, she and her close relatives have contributed more than $42,000 to Trump Victory, a political action committee, and more than $16,000 to the president’s campaign,” the publication reports.
“In February 2018, Yang was invited by the White House to participate in an event hosted by the Asian American and Pacific Islander Initiative, an advisory commission Trump established by executive order the year before.”
Once again Donald Trump will be judged by the company he keeps. Most of his associates tend to be shady people operating in the grey areas of criminal activity.
This new report also shows that Donald Trump is more interested in getting money from any people he can, even alleged criminals, than he is in doing anything to crack down on the evil business of human trafficking.
