Adam Schiff Still Believes He Can Prove Trump Collusion With Russia

As Fox News and Republicans call for his resignation, Adam Schiff is doubling down on his claims that there was collusion between Russia and the 2016 Trump campaign — and he will be able to prove it.

He told the Washington Post in a new interview that he believes evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia “undoubtedly” exists.

The House Intelligence Committee Chairman also said that he and his committee will eventually uncover Trump’s collusion. Attorney General William Barr’s summary of Robert Mueller’s investigation proved nothing, even though Barr decided that no criminal charges could be filed.

Schiff told the Post that the special counsel’s investigators did not look at whether Trump was subject to the influence of foreign powers, but his committee would look into those matters. He said he would continue to aggressively investigate whether Trump’s presidential campaign conspired with Russia (or other countries) during the 2016 election.

“Undoubtedly, there is collusion,” Schiff told the Post. “We will continue to investigate the counterintelligence issues. That is, is the president or people around him compromised in any way by a hostile foreign power?”

“It doesn’t appear that was any part of Mueller’s report,” he continued.

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), a strong right-wing supporter of Trump’s, told the Post that Schiff had told falsehoods about the Russia investigation and his committee’s progress.

“Schiff essentially spent 22 months lying to the country,” Gaetz said. Ever since Barr released his four page summary on Sunday White House allies have been demanding Schiff’s resignation as chairman of the Intelligence Committee.

“Adam Schiff should resign,” White House counselor Kellyanne Conway said. “He has no right as somebody who has been peddling a lie day after day after day unchallenged. Unchallenged and not under oath. Somebody should have put him under oath and said you have evidence, where is it?”

The Republican attacks of course did nothing to dissuade Schiff from pursuing truth and justice for Donald Trump, who many believe is a traitor to the United States.

“I’m more than used to attacks from my GOP colleagues and I would expect nothing less,” Schiff said.

The Mueller investigation, which lasted for almost two years and resulted in dozens of criminal charges for Trump associates unrelated to accusations of collusion with Russia, ended over the weekend with no further indictments being issued by prosecutors.

Trump and his allies have since claimed victory, accusing Democrats and the media of spinning stories about the investigation to conclusions not supported by the facts.

Mueller’s Counterintelligence Report Has Not Yet Been Released, And It May Prove Trump Crimes

Most people are not aware that Mueller will issue a second report— called the “counterintelligence report” — that can’t be kept from either Congress or the public by William Barr or anyone else. When this report is issued, Adam Schiff will see it.

Since Barr’s summary memo did not deal at all with national security issues, there is no basis to conclude that Donald Trump has been cleared of the crime of conspiring with Russia.

When information is released concerning Mueller’s counterintelligence findings, Adam Schiff will “undoubtedly” be proven correct. And when that happens America will learn that the President of the United States did in fact collude with Russia as they helped him become president.

Both indictment and impeachment of Donald Trump are still very much on the table.
