Newsflash. President Trump failed to bring up Russian President Vladimir Putin’s meddling in our elections when they spoke for an hour today, and also failed to tell Putin not to meddle in the upcoming election.
NBC's Kristen Welker: "Mr. President, did you tell [Putin] not to meddle in the next election?"
Trump: "Excuse me, I'm talking. I'm answering his question. You are very rude."
Trump, pressed again, says he didn't discuss it with Putin.

Trump had an entire hour of apparently unmonitored time with the Russian president today, and in that entire hour, he never found the strength or patriotism to ask the president of a hostile foreign regime to stop interfering in our elections.
Trump had time to talk about the Mueller report and crow over his Orwellian conclusions. He had time to talk about nuclear agreements, trade, North Korea, Ukraine and Venezuela. He had time to talk about the Mueller report.
Just no time to tell Putin to stop undermining U.S. freedom.
Trump isn’t hiding his collusion with Putin. He’s rubbing our nose in it as a power play. He’s spitting on America as he cuddles up to Putin in advance of 2020, an election Trump and Republicans can’t win without Russia’s (and Saudi Arabia’s) help.
Trump likes to present himself as a strongman, but he’s really so weak and so unpopular that he has to suck up to a dictator like a water boy just to stay in power. Trump is Putin’s weapon of mass destruction of choice, but it won’t always be this way and when Putin has gotten what he came for, Trump will find himself in a world of hurt he can’t imagine.
Trump has never dealt with someone more aggressive and criminal than himself until now.
