Mitch McConnell takes credit for Obama being president
Judy Woodward of the PBS Newshour tweeted:
moments ago, @SenateMajLdr McConnell on #Reparations: "I don't want reparations for something that happened 150 years ago…we've tried to deal with the original sin of slavery by passing civil rights legislation and electing an African American president…."

"…no one currently alive (was a slave) …and we wouldn't even know whom to compensate" more @SenateMajLdr asked about #Reparations

Mitch McConnell is saying the centuries of slavery and oppression that African-Americans have suffered in this country should all be washed away because Barack Obama was president for eight years, so McConnell thinks that everything is even and we’re all square.
Sen. McConnell spent the entire Obama presidency obstructing the president at every turn. McConnell is the reason why every single Obama accomplishment was a slog and a battle. Mitch McConnell held the United States back through his endless obstruction, which included violating the constitution to obstruction President Obama’s Supreme Court nominee.
McConnell is now trying to take credit for the Obama presidency and use it as a dodge to avoid reparations.
Mitch McConnell knows no low. The path to fixing the Senate begins with defeating Mitch McConnell in Kentucky next year.
