House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) sounded ready and prepared as he expects Attorney General Barr to interfere with Mueller’s testimony.
Chairman Schiff said on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, “I have to expect that Bill Barr is going to continue to do what he has done since he has been appointed and that is to run interference for the president in any way that he can, and that is maybe interposing objections to what Bob Mueller can say and releasing some information that is his own and that is to distract from the hearing, but we can expect bill Barr to act as if Rudy Giuliani is appointed A.G., because that is how he has behaved so I can’t cabin what type of behavior to expect from him.”

The pattern for this White House has been the same for every witness and investigation. Trump and Barr are going to attempt to distract, interfere with, and obstruct Robert Mueller’s testimony. One should expect that Barr is going to mount a counteroffensive for the president. It is going to happen, and Democrats need to be ready.
Rep. Schiff raised an interesting point. When the Mueller report was being written Rudy Giuliani, and Trump’s lawyers wrote a rebuttal report that they have no released. It won’t be surprising if Trump and Barr try to rebut Mueller’s expected testimony.
Trump will attempt to attack Mueller’s credibility and the investigations of the House committees.
The best way to get the American people to understand the report that the will not read is an open hearing where Mueller call tell them about what he found.
Barr and Trump are going to try to disrupt the hearing, but it sounds like Adam Schiff is ready.
