The DOJ has been struggling to come up with a new reason to justify the question, but after Trump opened his mouth, their efforts aren’t going to make a bit of difference. The citizenship question is all about undercounting voters who likely to support Democrats so that Republicans can nationally gerrymander House districts. Trump’s words will definitely be used in court, as the president opened his mouth, and for once admitted the truth.
