Pete Buttigieg called out fake Christian Republican senators who are blocking a House-passed bill to raise the minimum wage.

Buttigieg said, “We have to respond to the changes and in addition to confronting technician to supporting workers by double unionization as I propose. Some is low tech too. Like the minimum wage is too low. So-called conservative Christian senators right now in the Senate are blocking a bill to raise the minimum wage. When scripture says whoever oppresses the poor taunts their maker.”
It has been an up and down debate for Mayor Pete, but this is a moment that won’t make the cable news clips, but it showed what makes Buttigieg different from many of the other Democratic candidates.
The broader point needs to be driven home. White Republicans who claim to be Christians are blocking a minimum wage increase for hard-working Americans. Senate Republicans and their president are oppressing the poor, and Buttigieg called out their fake Christianity.
