Fox News claims that the people who are making mass shootings worse are those who are calling out Trump’s racism.
Steve Hilton said on Fox News, “It seems to me these presidential candidates who are running around accusing the president of stirring up racial division when they speak like that, Trump supporters hear those words as just as much an attack on the president, and it seems to me they are also guilty of inflaming cultural and class divisions in the way they’re talking about this issue. I mean everyone just needs to lower the temperature.”

The problem isn’t Buttigieg, O’Rourke, and other Democrats speaking out. The problem is that not enough people have spoken up. Lowering the temperature is another way of saying that people need to shut up and not speak the truth because the truth is bad for Donald Trump and the Republican Party. More people need to be speaking out and condemning Trump’s words and attacks.
Blaming video games and the internet didn’t get it done, so Trump’s cable news propaganda network is going to blame Democrats for speaking the truth. Enablers like those at Fox News deserve the blame.
Democrats are trying to unite a nation that Donald Trump is spending every waking minute trying to tear apart.
The collective voice of a united nation will always be stronger than those who want us to “lower the temperature.”
