Donald Trump received another love letter from Kim Jong Un, and he responded by praising the murderous North Korean dictator and trashing the United States military.
In a pair of Saturday tweets, Trump said, “In a letter to me sent by Kim Jong Un, he stated, very nicely, that he would like to meet and start negotiations as soon as the joint U.S./South Korea joint exercise are over. ”
He added, “It was a long letter, much of it complaining about the ridiculous and expensive exercises.”

Trump repeatedly sells America out to dictators
After two and a half years of this presidency, the “imagine if Barack Obama said it” game is getting tiring, but stop and think for a moment how Republicans would react if the 44th president praised Kim Jong Un at the very moment he criticized his own military’s operations.
For Trump, though, this type of behavior is commonplace. Time and again, he has shown that he is happy to sell out his own country and his own people just to buddy up with so-called strongmen like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un.
What Trump doesn’t seem to understand is that this behavior doesn’t make him stronger. Having a president who aligns himself with murderous regimes doesn’t make America stronger. Instead, it makes Trump look small and weak. In the eyes of America’s enemies, it gives them hope that they, too, can play the U.S. president if they just massage his ego a little bit.
With Donald Trump in the White House, there is no such thing as fighting for American interests. This president only cares about his own image, his own reputation and his own ego.
That’s abundantly clear whenever he sells out his own country in exchange for authoritarian bromances with some of the world’s most vile dictators.
