Trump claimed that he would only release the full Ukraine whistleblower complaint if there is “full transparency” on his baseless Biden conspiracy theory.
Trump tweeted:
I have informed @GOPLeader Kevin McCarthy and all Republicans in the House that I fully support transparency on so-called whistleblower information but also insist on transparency from Joe Biden and his son Hunter, on the millions of dollars that have been quickly and easily….

There is nothing to be transparent about. The Biden matter has been investigated, and Hunter Biden did nothing wrong.
Trump has played this game often in his political career. Trump makes an impossible demand so that he can avoid having to release damaging information about himself. He did it with his health records and his tax returns.
Trump is lying to try to get an investigation started into Joe Biden.
This is the problem that Republicans have run into. Without a Republican-controlled House to give these conspiracy theories legitimacy through congressional investigations, Trump is having trouble getting his attack off the ground. The Biden conspiracy has already been fact-checked. It is not true, but truth has never stood in the way of Trump’s efforts to damage a political opponent.
