Leaked audio of a private event that Trump attended at the UN catches the president calling reporters animals and scum while threatening the Ukraine whistleblower with death.
The Los Angeles Times got the audio of Trump saying:
“Basically, that person never saw the report, never saw the call, he never saw the call — heard something and decided that he or she, or whoever the hell they saw — they’re almost a spy,” Trump said.
“I want to know who’s the person, who’s the person who gave the whistleblower the information? Because that’s close to a spy,” he continued. “You know what we used to do in the old days when we were smart? Right? The spies and treason, we used to handle it a little differently than we do now.”
“You know, these animals in the press,” Trump went on. “They’re animals, some of the worst human beings you’ll ever meet.”
“They’re scum,” Trump continued. “Many of them are scum, and then you have some good reporters, but not many of them, I’ll be honest with you.

The leaked audio is the clearest insight into Trump’s criminal mind in his own voice that has ever been published. Trump thinks that the whistleblower is a spy and wants him killed, and reporters are scum because they report the facts and hold him accountable.
Trump is a thug who is danger to his own country.
He has no respect for democracy, the law, freedom of the press, or his own oath of office.
The whistleblower is a hero because he is someone on the inside who went through the proper legal channels and exposed Trump for what he is.
It has been less than a day since impeachment was announced and Donald Trump has already gone full dictator to try to save his own skin.
