CNN’s faithful truth seeker Jim Acosta reported that a person who spoke with President Trump in the last 24 hours says he sounded more distracted, but not appreciating the legal peril his administration faces.

This is the Trump bloviator who has, his entire adult life, gotten away with whatever he wanted to do. He has cheated banks, shareholders, students and more — and usually found a way to come out clutching the money.
The psychology that drives Trump will soon drive him into crazy appearing antics and public tantrums, which while not a new thing for him, will take on new zeal and surprise even the most jaded observers.
Donald Trump can’t handle being told no and he believes the law doesn’t apply to him. This is why he tried to get House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to make him a deal on his betrayal of his country, and when she would not, he threw an epic fit.
Now the Trump White House has put out a redacted summary of the transcript of his conversation with the Ukrainian president, which in and of itself is damning to Trump. His advisors and cheerleaders are out in full force gaslighting America with their Republican talking points about how Trump didn’t really do what he did and if he did it doesn’t matter.
But without the House to run publicity stunt investigations into his conspiracy theories, Trump is having less success with his finger pointing. The balloon of lies Trump stirred up against Joe Biden just can’t get lift off.
Trump doesn’t see it coming, but he is headed for what for him will be sheer misery and pain. He will get myriad of bad press as his betrayal of his country becomes undeniable, and this is his personal Hell.
Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has already said he won’t even touch impeachment if it passes in the House. And until the Ukraine phone call and cover up, this strategy seemed like more Machiavellian Mitch – horrible, but effective.
It remains to be seen how the country will react to blatant betrayal, for the second time, by this president. The first time was less clear, and this can be partially blamed on Democrats for trying to work with Republicans to protect this country when Republicans have shown little interest in protecting the United States, but this time it’s unfolding as it’s happening and Trump did this as president.
As the President of the United States, Trump undermined our elections and eroded our sacred freedoms. He reportedly is clueless about the ramifications of this behavior, but it is illegal and even if the Republicans do nothing, the public will know.
